A laser ranging device is an instrument that accurately measures the distance to a target using special algorithm. Install the battery into the battery compartment and press the power button to turn on the rangefinder. Through the eyepiece, you can see that the laser ranging device is in a ready state for measurement.
By long-pressing the mode button, you can switch between units: meters (m) or yards (y).
After turning on the power and switching units, align the external LCD viewfinder on the laser ranging device with the object to be measured. Gently press the start button, and the measured distance will instantly display on the external LCD.
You can adjust the clarity of the target object through the diopter adjuster. For closer objects, rotate the adjuster to the right; conversely, for farther objects, rotate it to the left.
Press the power adjustment button, the mirror will display "+", align the central circle with the target to be measured (it should not be a strong light-absorbing target, such as glass). Press the power adjustment button again for about 3 seconds to display the target distance. If no operation is performed, it will automatically turn off after 15 seconds.
Laser ranging device signal errors may be caused by various reasons. Below are some possible solutions:
Check Battery Power
Ensure that the battery power is sufficient. Low battery power may cause signal errors. Try replacing the battery or recharging it.
Check the Target Object
Ensure the target object is clear and clean, without strong reflective or absorptive characteristics. If the surface of the target object is too smooth or rough, it may affect the signal reception of the laser ranging device.
Check the Rangefinder Lens
Ensure that the laser ranging device lens is not dirty or damaged. If necessary, wipe the lens with a soft cloth.
Check for Environmental Light Interference
In conditions of strong light or low light, the laser ranging device may be interfered with by environmental light, causing signal errors. Try measuring in more uniform light conditions or take measures to block the light.
Re-pair or Replace Sensor
If the laser ranging device uses a wireless sensor, try re-pairing the sensor or replacing it to solve signal error issues.
