Unlike golf rangefinder and outdoor rangefinder, laser range finder module is an unfinished product which awaits integration into other optoelcetronic systems and platforms. Most integrator will store the laser rangefinder module in the warehouse instead of integrating it immediately, thus it requires extra caring and maintenance. In short, the module does not need to be maintained under normal working conditions, only when it it is stored in a dust-free environment for more than 1 year.
The general inspection of the product is carried out in the state of no charge, and the steps are as follows:
1.Check if all labels and model numbers of products and testing cable , plugs (sockets) are clear and intact;
2. Ensure all screws on the panel should be tightened;
3. It should be ensured that the optical glass of the product is visually free of smudges like pockmarks, water spots, mold, finger marks, dust particles and other attachments and cracks that affect normal observation.
1.Connect the laser range finder to power source, host computer with cable.
2. Aim at specific targets beyond the minimum range performance of the LFF module.
3.Power on and conduct laser-ranging command to test whether the product can work normally.
Maintaining and caring for your laser ranging module is crucial to ensure its longevity and accuracy. Regular maintenance helps prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt, which may affect the accuracy of the equipment. Proper care also protects internal components from damage caused by moisture, extreme temperatures, and shocks. By following a consistent maintenance procedure, you can extend the life of your rangefinder module and ensure that it performs at its best on your platform.
